In 2022, BIO chose LS Intranet Internal Corporate Portal to create a modern, cyber-resilient digital ecosystem to arrange and synchronize their disconnected business processes.
The Task
The Ñlient approached us with a request to create a unified, effective internal digital space for the Employees. Among the main needs were the unification of communications between Departments and individual Employees; a shared, highly secure environment with access to data and documents with simultaneous collaboration capabilities; and fast, effective search within the knowledge base.
At that time, all these needs were being met with difficulty. Communication between the Colleagues took place via fragmented channels chosen according to each Person’s preference —from email to various messengers. The Teams wasted time searching for the necessary information in many different sources. Data and document searches were complicated due to the unstructured knowledge base.
Naturally, this slowed down work processes and reduced productivity. Therefore, the Company was seeking a solution that would unite all internal resources into a single system.
The Solution
At that time, we had already completed the development of the in-house solution that met the Client's needs, LS Intranet Internal Corporate Portal. This digital ecosystem centralized internal processes and also served as a corporate media outlet.
This time, we implemented almost no custom modifications—the Company already had all the necessary functionality built in. Thus, in a short time, the Client got a platform that met their core needs. Specifically, a single communication space for posts, news, chats, and discussions. Also, a centralized document repository with flexible access settings. Next, integration of business processes within a unified interface, and popular tools for maximum user convenience, such as widgets, personalized pages, useful links, etc.
The LS Intranet Internal Corporate Portal became the main hub for the Company Employees.
How it works
According to our data, the Users particularly appreciated several core tools. For example, the News widget— the Users actively interact with it via likes and comments. The Socialfeed chat is used for discussing current issues and sharing opinions between the Departments. Access to important files, with the possibility to restrict rights for specific groups, is ensured through the Knowledge Base feature. Quick access to the Client’s services and resources is available via the Useful Links functionality.
Now, the Administrators can easily update content, add or remove modules, and the Employees can quickly find the information they need.
The Result
After the portal’s implementation, the chaos in communications disappeared—all processes migrated into a single digital space. Due to prompt information retrieval and, accordingly, reduced time spent searching for data, work efficiency increased. Interaction between the Teams improved thanks to the introduction of unified interactive tools such as chats and discussions.
There are no complaints about the system’s operation. User activity confirms its usefulness. So, the Client is satisfied.
In short, the implementation of LS Intranet Internal Corporate Portal & Corporate Media completely solved the Client’s internal communications issues. Thanks to a centralized platform that provides quick searches even for the most complex data, the Company received a convenient, scalable tool that optimized workflows and increased team productivity.
