How we tested a new AI model | GPT-5.2

Every geek (yes, we know that's what we're called) awaits the release of each new AI model with trepidation, much like for a new toy in childhood, which we’d make lots of discoveries with. 

Without overromanticizing, we do expect from the new model at least better algorithms, higher processing speed, and more accurate results. And then we make our «lots of discoveries»: we create even more complex solutions, automate even more comprehensive processes, and work with even larger amounts of data.

Therefore, each AI release is a guaranteed adrenaline rush in the blood of an IT pro. This was the case with the newest OpenAI model – GPT-5.2, which recently became available via the Microsoft Azure Foundry platform.
To test the «new toy», we integrated it into our AI-UniBot.

Below, I share with you the facts from the research and the results of our test drive of GPT-5.2.


According to OpenAI, the new Artificial Intelligence model is already setting new quality records in various industries, surpassing the results of previous versions. Compared to GPT-5.1, GPT-5.2 copes much better with complex multi-step queries and large amounts of information. It shows deeper logical analysis and context understanding. Thanks to the improved architecture and training on expanded datasets, the new model works more efficiently and reliably: it generates answers with increased accuracy and less error-proneness.

For our Users, this means even higher-quality and relevant answers from AI-UniBot in various work scenarios.

Multimodality

The multimodal capabilities of AI-UniBot have reached a new level. Like its predecessor, GPT-4o, GPT-5.2 can work with images (not just text), but in an even more advanced manner.

The new AI-UniBot interprets graphs, charts, and screenshots more accurately. For example, Technical Specialists can attach a screenshot to a request, and the bot will quickly analyze it to diagnose the problem. Business Analysts or Researchers will receive a more meaningful analysis of graphs from reports or scientific articles, as GPT-5.2 has halved the number of errors when «reading» complex diagrams and charts.

It is important that multilingual support also remains at its best: the model has significantly improved the quality of answers in different languages. In particular, the accuracy of translation and explanation of how-to instructions. This boosts the capabilities of businesses operating in international markets because AI-UniBot understands requests equally well in Ukrainian, English, and any other popular languages.

Enlarged Context Window

GPT-5.2 has significantly expanded the scope of information it can process simultaneously. At the same time, the bot's answers remain coherent and contextually accurate even with a large amount of input data. This is especially valuable for complex analytical or legal queries.

What's there in practice

The model update also had a positive impact on the interactivity and usefulness of AI-UniBot in everyday work. The bot became better at formulating detailed explanations and structuring the output data in a form convenient for the User.

For example, GPT-5.2 more skillfully forms tables or lists in responses to requests. If, for example, an Employee asks for help in preparing a presentation or project plan, AI-UniBot offers more thoughtful content and even draft materials. Adapting data «to the template» (either an Excel spreadsheet or PowerPoint slides) is faster and better than before. The bot also more confidently gives step-by-step instructions and recommendations on various work issues – from technical procedures to tips on developing skills. At the same time, all interaction remains protected: the model’s work in Azure guarantees compliance with corporate security and data confidentiality policies.
