One of the key features of AI-UniBot Personal Assistant & Corporate Chatbot is the Knowledge On-Demand function, which is based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Thanks to it, the User receives relevant and complete information from the existing knowledge base, which we call a semantic index. This index is formed from various data sources and allows Users to quickly find the necessary answers referring to the original source. Recently, however, we encountered an interesting challenge: many of our Clients' documents (as well as ours) are stored in zip archives. Therefore, to ensure continuous and convenient access to this data, we taught AI-UniBot to index files in archives.

Let's consider an example of a large Manufacturing Holding that needs to save space on the Microsoft 365 SharePoint platform. To optimize space, the Company's Specialists decided to archive part of their documentation. And then the question arose: how to continue accessing this archived data without «unpacking» it every time where there is a need to view information? This became possible with the new function of AI-UniBot. Soon the Holding made space available for new documents while continuing to access answers to questions from the archived information without any issues.

Another example is a large Energy Holding that has been using SharePoint for a long time. During the transition from the on-premises version to the cloud, part of their documentation was archived to speed up the migration process significantly. For further use, these documents were left in the archived form. Because the new function of AI-UniBot allowed them to maintain access to important information without the need for extraction.

The technical process is implemented as follows: AI-UniBot copies the archives to its servers, unpacks them there, indexes the content, and includes it in the general semantic index. When the User requests information, the system not only provides an answer but also provides a link to the archive and the specific file within it. This allows downloading the archive and finding the very needed file in it. Access to documents is fully controlled.

In short, the ability of AI-UniBot to index files in zip archives allows Businesses not to change their habits in storing documents and save SharePoint space.
